Region 1 Networking Event: Glass City Metropark

Join Metroparks Toledo staff while enjoying a fall afternoon at Glass City Metropark. Located in the heart of Toledo, Glass City is a part of one of the most exciting waterfront revitalization projects in Ohio. Once a heavily industrialized area, the former Marina District has undergone a transformation that is positively impacting the lives of Lucas County residents. Keeping 80% of the area naturalized, has ensured the project’s infrastructure has kept a small footprint, while bringing new visitors to Metroparks to learn about conservation—in fact over a million since fully opening in 2023.  Home to water and nature play features, Mercy Climbing Wall, and The Ribbon, Glass City truly has something for everyone. But Glass City is just the start in the larger Riverwalk project that brings connectivity of business, parks, and open spaces to the waterfront.

Staff will be on hand to answers questions about Glass City, the Riverwalk, and programming opportunities. For anyone wishing to try hands on activities, roller skates will be available for the Ribbon or climbing passes to tryout our rockwall.

Lunch will be from The Garden by Poco Piatti.  Please bring your own drink/water.
