About the Role
Field Source is seeking a Sports Facilities Project Manager / Landscape Architect to lead the design and delivery of outdoor athletic and recreation facilities from concept through construction closeout. Projects include natural grass and synthetic turf fields, running tracks, field events, and tennis and pickleball courts, plus associated site work, sports lighting, and spectator/support amenities. The role also provides QA/QC support for owner-hired design teams on select projects.

What You’ll Do
Manage projects from planning and design through construction administration and closeout.

Serve as primary client contact and coordinate with engineers, architects, and contractors.

Prepare site plans, grading/drainage, and details for fields, tracks, courts, plazas, and spectator areas.

Plan and coordinate sports lighting, bleachers/grandstands, press boxes, site furnishings, and other support elements.

Produce construction documents and CSI-format specifications.

Apply state/local stormwater regulations, ADA, and applicable codes to site design.

Provide QA/QC review of drawings, specs, and cost estimates developed by third-party owner design teams.

Perform site visits, review submittals, process pay apps and change orders, and lead punch lists.

What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Landscape Architecture.

Ohio Landscape Architect license, in good standing.

7+ years of progressive experience in site planning, CDs/specs, public and private bidding, and construction administration.

Experience with outdoor sports facilities (fields, tracks, courts, campus or park sites).

Proficiency with AutoCAD (or Civil 3D), Revit, Topcon Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.

Strong working knowledge of stormwater regulations, ADA, and codes related to site/sports facility design.

Working knowledge of sports lighting, bleachers/grandstands, and typical athletic site furnishings.

Experience reviewing and critiquing multi-disciplinary design documents is a plus.

Nice to Have
Experience with synthetic turf and natural grass field design and construction.

Experience with K-12, higher-ed, or parks & recreation clients.

Familiarity with governing standards for track & field, tennis, and pickleball.

Track and field event design, construction, and lifecycle knowledge.

Tennis and pickleball court design, construction, and lifecycle knowledge.
