Position Summary
Reports to the Senior Services Coordinator. The Senior Program Coordinator coordinates exercise, arts and crafts, educational and wellness programs for Senior and/or disabled adults.
Duties and Responsibilities (not intended to be exclusive):
- Develop and coordinate exercise, arts and crafts, educational and wellness programs.
- Secure instructors and negotiates independent contracts with instructors and vendors.
- Secure times and rooms for programs including ensuring all needed equipment is in proper repair.
- Make sure that the rooms are set up appropriately for programs. Send needed set-ups to maintenance department.
- Create flyers and marketing materials for programs.
- Obtain supplies for program.
- Collate program information for monthly Senior newsletter and for Recreation Program bulletin.
- Coordinate volunteers for programs including Computer Lab, Craft Room and Wood Shop.
- Collect, prepare and verify monthly invoices from instructors and forward to Senior Services Coordinator for payment.
- Enter program information into computer program for registration.
- Monitor program registration and class attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Services Coordinator.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- College degree preferred
- Possess strong interpersonal and professional skills
- Experience in a public employer setting is a plus.
